Two and a half metres of joinery, one hanging rail and a bench you can actually fold on.
Laundries are usually the last room on the budget and the first room used every day. The fix isn't more space. It's using the height.
Stack, then go to the ceiling
Stacking the washer and dryer frees a full run of bench. Taking the joinery to the ceiling above it removes the dust shelf and roughly doubles storage. Both are cheap decisions to make on paper and expensive to retrofit.
